What’s new in these troubling times … is not being able to meet face to face. Every Friday night since the early days of the club has been the time to catch up with our quilting buddies, see what they are working on, hear their stories and maybe learn something new. Now all that has had to be put on the shelf without any real idea of when we might be able to meet again. Work, shopping, travel, social events and entertainment are all affected.
The calendar has been wiped clean.
We want to stay connected by putting what we can online. A new block of the month type activity kicks off shortly that we are calling the Stay at Home Blocks. For those who like to work on gift quilts for our community, the Suitcase has a few projects which need some work. Well, complete making actually. In some there are a few blocks, other projects are just a bundle of fabrics. Photos of these with their ideas will be shown shortly. You are welcome to collect a pack and work on it at your leisure.
Our raffle is still going ahead. Please invite your friends and acquaintances to buy tickets, via PayPal or direct debit and their filled-in virtual ticket will be sent to them. Less than four weeks remain till it is drawn.
Members can continue working on their Challenges, they will be shown whenever we can reschedule the exhibition.
Join the club now and new members’ membership will be valid until the end of June 2021 and will be able to receive details of the Stay at Home Blocks and all the other activities we will be running over coming months.
