December for Queanbeyan Quilters

December was a busy month for the club. On the 6th, a number of our members enjoyed an al fresco garden party, admirably catered by Sue Camm. There was a last minute change of venue but everyone coped with that. The wind blew a bit but the temperature was fine and the mood was buoyant.

The last daytime drop-in session was held on the 10th and the last social night was on the 11th. A presentation to a very special person was made. Keren selected her own quilt from several on hand and Bryony presented the Goodstart Early Learning Jerrabomberra with a table runner for their raffle. The proceeds from their raffle were to go to Keren towards treatment and care during her illness. The club wishes for her successful treatment and all the best for the future.

The year was not done yet!

On Sunday 20th, a pile of members got up with the birds to grab a great spot in Queanbeyan Park for the Market. We flew the new banner, thanks to Monika for making it happen. Narell provided a sturdy gazebo and a steady flow of quilters came to the stall over the day to help out and to buy and sell things. A very successful day was had. Thanks are due to Liz Hendrickson for her wonderful organisation of the day and to all the supportive members.
