Monthly Inspirations have started again

At last month's meeting we got started on the Monthly Inspirations project, which anyone is welcome to join in on. So far, we have had two sets of 'clues'. You can apply them to blocks or bags or rows - for yourself or for our gift quilt program. Interpretation can be very broad.

The Annual General Meeting

Tonight Queanbeyan Quilters Inc held their August meeting and the Annual General Meeting at the Letchworth Neighbourhood Centre. Winter is still keeping some people away from joining us at our evening sessions and the lure of Europe and warmer places draws some members too. All in all, a reasonable turnout and fruitful meetings.

During our ordinary meeting the first piece of business was to present one of our gorgeous gift quilts to representatives of The Pink Party for their fund raising later this year.

At the AGM, all positions were declared vacant and nominations for all positions were considered, accepted and incumbents congratulated.

The new committee for 2018/2019 is as follows:

President -  Cassandra Philpot
Vice President - Chris Charlton
Treasurer - Bryony De La Motte
Secretary & Library - Glenis Felthamj
Committee Members - Liz Hendrickson, Narell Smit

Congratulations again to all those taking on the executive roles, we look forward to a strong, positive and vibrant club with lots of emphasis on the social, friendly and sharing nature of quilting.

I would like to thank the outgoing committee for their hard work over the past year or more and hope they will continue to contribute to the group in whatever way they like. Their efforts have ensured that the club continues to provide a welcome to members and guests and a varied range of activities for all to enjoy.
